Introducing the Cyanogen Apps Package
CyanogenOS and CyanogenMod are two different ROMs. CyanogenOS is offered as a pre-installed, official OS on phones like the Yureka and OnePlus while CyanogenMod is a community project for a variety of devices. In order to close the gap between these two, Cyanogen is now offering optional C-Apps that can be installed on any device running CM12.1 custom ROM compiled after Nov 10, 2015. C-Apps are basically a number of apps which come pre-installed only on a CyanogenOS device. Thankfully, to the C-Apps zip package, you can now install them on any Android device running CyanogenMod custom ROM.
C-Apps flashable package is only meant to be installed on the latest CM12.1 custom ROMs, it wont be a surprise if they don’t work as mentioned on other custom ROMs. In order to install C-Apps on your device, follow the detailed steps given below. If you have flashed Gapps before, this wouldn’t be much different. The only requirements are you have CM12.1 running along with a custom recovery.
